Working Bee

The school has been requesting the parents to organise a working bee for some time now, and various parents have requested items that could be undertaken during a working bee.  A working group has been created to organise a school working bee.

Tasks that may be done in the working bee:


  • Install bag hooks for classrooms that do not currently have them.
  • Move / install bike racks
  • Fix the garden club gate/doors
  • Fix the electricity meter cupboard doors (near Abercrombie st entrance)
  • Remove damaged big red front gate on Golden Grove St and replace with a modern gate the same as on Abercrombie St.
  • Sandstone block to complete garden bed
  • Power clean exterior brickwork & ground with water spray
  • Upgrade paint scheme where it currently exists.
  • Paint playground games (hopscotch, snakes and ladders, car road tracks, etc).

The working group will: 


  • work with the Principal to ensure school needs are met
  • determine a suitable date 
  • work within any OH&S or council requirements
  • identify tasks to be completed during the working bee
  • source volunteers to help out
  • cost/budget expenses
  • plan for delivery of materials & clean up
  • run the working bee event
