Hi Everyone,
Welcome back to Darlington and another exciting school year. I hope you all had a good break, with plenty of rest and sunshine.
Hopefully you are all ready to get back into the rhythm of supporting your kids and working with the S&C to fund the many projects that the school require to assist in the development of the school. I look forward to working with as many parents as possible to make it a successful year for both the S&C and school.
With that in mind our first S&C meeting will be held on Wednesday 9th February @ 6pm in the teachers staff room. look forward to seeing you there. If you have any agenda item please forward them to the Darlo email ID.
Note that S&C meeting will now be held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month ( a schedule will be put up on the notice board ).
Also, on Monday morning at 8:45am the S&C will be holding a Tea and Tissues's for the new kindergarden parents in the teachers staff room. If parents of 'old' student would like to attend and provide their 'moral' support that would be much appreciated. There will be light refreshments provided ( if you can bring a plate that would be great ).
Please note the up coming S&C events :

Wednesday 9th February - S& C Monthly meeting @ 6pm in teachers staff room

Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update to ensure you are hanging tough as we make our way through the 4th Term, with Xmas and the long summer break in sight.
I hope you have enjoyed reading the new Darlington Post. It's a great addition! I'd like to pay special thanks to the team that put it together. From those parents who volunteered to write the class reports, the teachers that assisted with the content, artwork and photos, and lastly to both Rae and Suzy who co-ordinated and designed the publication, spending many hours to ensure that it would be well read and enjoyed by everyone. Many more to come.
We had a successful Cake stall at the Eveleigh Markets. Again it was well received. To those who volunteered and contributed to its success, I thank you !
If you can all put next Wednesday, 3rd November, in your diary as the next S&C meeting. To start @ 6pm in the teachers staff room. Look forward to seeing you there.

Eveleigh Markets Stall Fundraiser - Volunteer Request
Hi Everyone,
Our Eveleigh Market stall has been confirmed for Saturday 22nd May 8am-1pm.
The stall will be selling home made cakes, cookies, muffins, buscuits, and the like. The funds that we raise from the stall will go to the purchase of Music program requirements that Graham outlined at our recent S&C meeting.
It is a great initiative that will enable the children to a better environment to practice, and access to instruments that they have never had before.
In order for the stall to be successful I'd like to call for VOLUNTEERS in 2 area's:
1. Volunteers willing to assist at the stall - on Saturday 22nd. If you can nominate the time that you can attend. (we need a minimum of 4 people for each time slot ).
7-8am : Setup
8-10am : "Earlybird" Selling.
10-12 noon : "Sweet tooth" Selling.
12 - 1:30pm : "Excess" selling and breaking down the stall
2. Volunteers willing to make a cake, cookies, buscuits, muffins, etc. for the stall.
If you are able to confirm your willingness to volunteer by return email ( Darloparents@hotmail.com ), or by note in the S&C mailbox in the office that would be much appreciated. If you can send through a response by Friday 15th.
Note that the kids will be making a banner/poster for the day, and if you would like your child to participate in the 'selling' at the stall it would be great to have them.
I look forward to your involvement, and success of the fundraiser.

Dear wonderful Darlington parents, staff, friends and community,
The Fete on Saturday was a brilliant success, in part because of the weather but primarily because of the incredible effort, time, optimism and sheer kindness of so many of you who volunteered beforehand and on the day in A myraid of different capacities.
